It provides students a safe way to cross the river to go to school. The construction of the bridge was sponsored by Mr. Huong Le (L\u00ea V\u0103n H\u01b0\u1edfng) of Lee Laundromat in northern CA. Per the local tradition, the bridge was blessed by a Buddhist priest (most people in the area are Buddhist).
