Yen-Thao Huu Nguyen
Yen-Thao Huu Nguyen joined VNHELP’s Board of Directors as Treasurer in 2003, after first volunteering with the organization in 1999. She has played a vital role in leading financial stewardship and supporting program growth.
Ms. Nguyen is an accomplished accounting professional and serves as Senior Director of Accounting and Reporting at VISA Inc. In this role, she oversees complex financial operations, ensures compliance with corporate policies, and provides strategic leadership in financial reporting. With over 20 years of experience, Yen-Thao’s previous roles included Senior Controller for the Corporate Controller’s Group at Cisco Systems, as well as key positions at the City of San Jose, Fujitsu Computer Systems, and Harmonic Inc.
Ms. Nguyen’s volunteer work included serving on the board of the Gunn High School Choir Boosters, participating in the IRS VITA program, and contributing to the Page Mill YMCA Annual Campaign. She also served as an Advisor for the Miss Vietnam Global pageant from 2006 to 2009. An avid cyclist, Yen-Thao has participated in the AIDS/LifeCycle fundraising ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles annually from 2016 through the Final 545 in 2025. In her free time, she enjoys biking, pilates, dancing, hiking, and skiing.
She holds a Master of Professional Accounting from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Management Information Systems from San Jose State University.
